I really hope this thread makes it high in the Google search listings, because from my hours of searching for an answer I saw where many people had this identical problem, and I didn't see anything about anyone finding a solution. Maybe I can find some more on the Internet? I might even spring for a full version, now that I know what the hang-up was. This version of Video Studio SE 9 seems to be fully functional, but the frames it offers you to create menus with is limited. Multimedia tools downloads - VideoStudio by Ulead System and many more programs are available for instant and free download. I had tried uninstalling and reinstalling before, but that didn't change a thing, only this method did. I also just did another disc with both the Burn DVD and Create ISO options checked, and it did both without a problem. I did, and the next time I tried it.it worked! Previously within 48 seconds of hitting Create Disc it would give the "unexpected error" pop-up, but this time it worked. Ulead did a little grinding, then asked me to put the original disc in. Then I went to the Control Panel and hit the Uninstall button, but rather than uninstalling I clicked the Repair option. I moved them both to the Recycle bin, but didn't delete them, in case I needed to restore them later. So I searched and found two instances of that dll running. I gambled on the idea of finding that dll and deleting it, though trying such things has fried my system before. The "uvmpeg2.dll" in particular caught my eye. I looked at the "has experienced an unexpected error and must close" pop-up, and on closer inspection it said:ĪppName: vstudio.exe AppVer:9.0.0.0 ModName: uvmpeg2.dll ModVer: 8.0.0.0 Offset: 00014744 Now that I know that, I guess I should try Video Studio again. I switched to a standard VGA driver and it worked still waiting for a driver update. Right there I knew it was a video card driver problem.
Just last week, I was trying Aimersoft DVD Author, it crashed as soon as it would start to display the GUI. You can find which system DLLs are involved by uninstalling the program it will ask you if you want to remove a shared DLL and show you the name. At least you can uninstall the associated program.ĭLL problems are usually caused when mixing old and recent programs, the older one will update a shared system DLL and the newer one will stop working. ActiveX plug-ins are hard to track down, you can use the Windows system information tool for a list, but it won't tell you if there's a conflict.

I only realised it after a clean install of Windows when I delayed installing Winamp, NVE was working fine, but not after. It's not the only one to have issues I found a conflict with Winamp and NVE when Winamp's visualisation activeX components are installed. I've had similar problems before, I always found Video Studio to be unstable and never used it.

dll and deleting it and reinstalling? Seems I read that worked. Could this be as simple as finding a errant.
